My clients say that I have a calm, non-judgmental presence that allows me to hold space for them as they process their trauma. I'm a 2020 USU-Uintah Basin graduate practicing in Roosevelt, UT.

My Approach

Carrie Wallace, LCSW

Just like the body, the brain has an innate ability to heal itself. I use right brain therapies like EMDR, IFS and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) that tap into the power that activates self-healing. What you can envision, you can become!

What Clients Are Saying...

FAQs

How long is a session and how often will I see you ?

Sessions are typically 55 minutes long and are often scheduled weekly, especially in the beginning. Some people will find that as they begin to heal and grow, fewer sessions are needed. The frequency of sessions can be adjusted in order to best meet your needs and maintain positive change.

How long will therapy last?

Most people attend therapy an average of 8-20 sessions, but it is always up to you. Some clients will get what they need in 4-5 sessions, whereas other people attend therapy for six months or longer. Sometimes single episode traumas only require a session or two using Accelerated Resolution Therapy.

Where are you located?

I practice from my home office in Hancock Cove, which provides you with the utmost privacy.

What forms of payment do you accept?

I accept cash, all major credit cards, HSA, and FSA cards.

Do you accept insurance?

I accept most insurance including BCBS, Select Health, PEHP, etc.

What is your fee?

The initial intake session is $220 and 55-minute sessions are $150.

How do I make an appointment?

Please use one of the contact buttons provided on this site or email me at carriew@envisioncounselor.com.

What kind of clients do you typically work with?

I typically work with adults who suffer with anxiety, dissociation or trauma. I do not work with children or couples. I will see teens if it is their choice to engage in therapy.

Is therapy confidential?

In general, the law protects the confidentiality of all communications between a client and psychotherapist. No information is disclosed without prior written permission from the client.

However, there are some exceptions required by law to this rule. These exceptions include:

  • Suspected child abuse or dependant adult or elder abuse. The therapist is required to report this to the appropriate authorities immediately.
  • If a client is threatening serious bodily harm to another person. The therapist is required to notify the police.
  • If a client intends to harm himself or herself. The therapist will make every effort to work with the individual to ensure their safety. However, if an individual does not cooperate, additional measures may need to be taken.
  • By using insurance, the client allows their insurance company to access confidential information. This is the only way insurance will pay for sessions.
